W&M Freshman Dorms

Board of Visitors was told a fall 2028 opening (1 year later than originally planned). The school's lease on the Ludwell apartments ends after the end of the spring 2028 semester so that's probably why they decided to wait. Avoids excess dorm capacity.

I don't think it's at all odd at a place like WM that has such a long history and that really values that history. It would look silly to plop a modern looking building next to the Wren building or anywhere on old campus really.

The modern buildings the are tearing down ar not near the Wren Building.

Exactly. They care more about preserving the older buildings, as was stated earlier. PP thought it odd, but I was responding that it's not odd. They're not worried about preserving newer, less architecturally interesting buildings.
