Reading must be hard for you: when adults were present, no knife fight was occurring. Read that over and over until that sinks in. |
| What you all saw in the video was known as the “bystander effect.” People standing around and watching something bad happening and doing nothing. It’s a common phenomenon. The male teacher was guilty of this. |
I heard a kid shouting ambulance several times. |
|
Reading this makes me think of the death of Ma'Khia Bryant in Columbus, Ohio a few years ago.
I wonder if the same people here criticizing the substitute teacher for not jumping in to break up a stabbing, are the same people who thought the police officer should "throw a net over her" or "shoot the knife out of her hand" in that situation? It's evident that a lot of posters here have no experience with violent individuals and have unrealistic thoughts about what could and should be done. |
| Just so everyone is aware, FCPS teachers are TRAINED not to intervene due to previous lawsuits and employee discipline that came from parents. You people want it both ways. You want your kid protected, but then you don't want your kid touched if they are the person other students need protected from. Schools are a microcosm of the community they reside in. If you have an issue with your school or school district you need to look no further than your own community to place blame. |
Here you go: 2 students holding the kid back while he’s still holding the knife. I mean, why ever help as an adult at all, just let the kids handle it. WTAF is wrong with you? https://x.com/davidez1911/status/1915423557137404117?s=46&t=E8qDVnObwqD3VskYpcZ1Jg |
THERE WAS NO STABBING OR KNIFE INVOLVED WHEN THE SUB WALKS BY AND SNAPS A PHOTO. yes, I meant to shout. |
I'm not the PP you quoted. How do you know what was not visible off camera? Were you there to witness it personally? Are you a child? |
It’s literally in the widely circulated video. My eyes work. Do yours? |
Calm down, child. You have no idea who was present a few feet away, unless YOU were present. |
| The red shirt kid’s outfit was so weird. Crop top fitted red shirt, shredded jeans, and awful red shoes. Was this some kind of gang initiation? |
And? What do you think this proves in the context of whether adult teachers should physically get involved in student fights? |
I haven't seen the video. Based off your description, it sounds like womens clothing. Was the "red shirt kid" a female? |
| How do we know the teacher was a sub? |
No! It was a Hispanic male. I’ve never seen a make with a shirt like that. lol |
