Not exactly. Obama would be willing to mentor an up and coming presidential person. He knows Biden well enough to know that Biden was a terrible choice for the nomination in 2020 and he has somewhat disassociated himself from the Dem Party out of anger and embarrassment. Weak, pathetic presidents like Trump and Biden tarnish the standard set by legitimate former presidents like Obama. |
Do you not follow politics at all? Obama orchestrated the remaining primary candidates to coalesce around Biden in order to kneecap Bernie. He did that. |
No, he absolutely did not. The mega donors wanted Biden to be nominated in 2020 because he was a known commodity that would serve to the interests of the mega donors. Party leaders and the DNC shut down any legitimate 2020 primary competition to Biden just like they did for HRC in 2016. They knew that they could get away with running a weak candidate in Biden due to Trump being so unpopular in 2020. Obama had nothing to do with those 2020 shenanigans just like he had nothing to do with the 2016 shenanigans. Leave him out of it. |
Instead, Manchin blamed Vice President Harris’ loss on her inability to cast herself as a moderate candidate after championing progressive issues during her first presidential run in 2019.
“If you try to be somebody you’re not, it’s hard,” Manchin said. https://www.cnn.com/2024/...id=ios_app Remember when manchin saved democrats from the progressives which pushed the awful bbb bill by not voting for it |
Harris didn't put herself into the position of a nominee that didn't receive the stamp of approval from the American people through a primary. Biden put her in that position. She took the advice of advisors, campaigned her arse off and did the best she could after being thrown into the fire by Biden. Blame the rotten jerk that out her in that position; not her. |
