Israel is not going to agree with withdraw from the philadelphi corridor of Gaza - which is where Hamas had been smuggling all its weapons - and enable Hamas to a) continue to exist and b ) rearm so they can continue terrorizing Israel. They’re in an impossible position.

Israel is the one doing the terrorizing, Palestinians are in an impossible situation.

Can someone tell me why Israel has not brought the hostages home? It would not be a difficult task to go in and get a handful of people out.

Unless that is not the purpose of IDF and they are just political pawns.

They don't give a damn about the hostages. Look to the Hannibal directive. They've killed more hostages than they've even rescued. Meanwhile, Israel has close to ten thousand hostages in jail - many of them children without trial.
