Anonymous wrote:Essie McGuire returns to MCPS as Taylor's chief of staff

Is this a joke?

No, it was announced.

Guess Taylor feels her time with the county council will be helpful.

Question is who is she friends with on the board. Taylor is just the front guy doing the BOE bidding.

Correct. It also shows how incestuous Montgomery County is. They pass people between agencies freely.

Essie McGuire bounces between the Council and MCPS as she pleases and Marcus Jones cruises from retirement in MCPD into a chief safety role with MCPS.

We don't recruit or search for the best talent. We just keep recycling the same ol' chickens here in our county.

Essie covered for Beidleman when she was Assoc Super for last time she cycled through MCPS.

She is a Council lifer. Just a mole for the Council with no experience in administration and zero qualifications to be chief of staff.

Where did you hear this from? Sounds like a lot of people are making assumptions based on nothing.

Um that's a weird take given most recent Superintendents apart from McKnight came from outside of MoCo. Two people does not a pattern make.

She was Associate Superintendent in charge of HR and sat in Board of Education Closed Meetings on personnel.

Why are you covering for her?

So you don't actually know anything and are throwing accusations out into the wind.

Btw it sounds like you don't even know what the term "covering for" means if you think me asking what your evidence is for making massive accusations about somebody is "covering for" them.

Sounds like you do not know what it means to have a job. She wasn’t a potted plant. She was Associate Superintendent.

No, McGuire was the Associate Superintendent of Operations, including Facilities Management, Materials Management, and Transportation. OHRD did not fall under her, but instead reported directly to the Deputy Superintendent, Monifa McKnight.
