What should we practically expect from this meeting? From these BOE members, MCPS staff and new Super?

Probably will hear from many many heartbroken and disappointed mva families.

There's an agenda here:

This will be a big moment of evaluation for Dr. Taylor. I hope he does well, but I'm prepared for him to underwhelm.

MVA will be at each and every BOE meeting until the MVA is restored. But, otherwise nothing will come of the BOE meeting. The BOE is a joke.

There is no MVA anymore. Do you mean a handful of people that aren't happy with their homeschool? Those people have always existed.

I don't know why the BOE is still allowing MVA testimonies when they clearly have the ability to screen and filter out testimonies based on topics that aren't on the BOE's agenda for that meeting.

They do? Since when? Is Trump now in charge of public comment?

I feel for the Echelmeyer family- I really do. I've been in their shoes before. We were lucky enough to have a family member willing to be a living donor (they take one lobe of the liver), so we didn't have the added stress of needing a cadaver organ, but there was still a lot of waiting.

I can't imagine making a child go through that while being stuck at home and isolated from friends at school. The unfortunate reality of organ waiting lists is that you're not likely to get to the top until you're very, very sick. And at that point you're not even going to have the energy for a full day of class, even at home via videoconference.

They limit non-agenda item speakers to the first five that sign up.

Why screen it? MVA famlies have a right to speak and will continue.

They've already spoken. Now they're just wasting everyone's time.

They are working on funding for next school year. They can easily reopen it. Its not a waste of time if its important to them. Why are you so hateful and bitter to the MVA? What experience do you have with it?
