Big 15??

Two thoughts. 1)The Catholic booster has entered the chat, but based on college admissions is wrong and 2) Potomac absolutely belongs in the top tier based on admissions. There is definitely a Virginia bias. And you can’t claim good outcomes are all athletics because the college posts state who is playing a sport and who isn’t. I’m not a Potomac parent and I don’t know anyone that goes there. Bullis, Madeira, Landon absolutely go above all Catholic schools.

Bullis had a stellar year last year. But it was one year. The school knew it wasn’t going to be repeated. Let’s take a look at the class of 2024 when that gets published. You’ll see.

Bullis is having a great year 2024. Accept the fact that their placements are very good. https://www.instagram.com/bullisseniors24?igsh=OHN3dTY3NjE4aWVt

+1 so many boosters... Potomac is doing a great job, not sure why everyone tries to put them down, its not like the Potomac parents are saying they're better than Sidwell like the NCS/STA parents are.

This is true but SSSA and Bullis should NOT be on anyone's list. I do not care how hard people try. And the inclusion of Potomac is very suspect. It's heavily athletes not strong academic students. Beautiful campus, yes. Wealthy parents/students, yes. But it is in no way considered one of the top schools or an academic powerhouse. St. John's should also not be on there - the honors program students are impressive but there are a tiny micro percentage of the whole school. The rest of the kids are just regular, run of the mill kids whose parents don't want them to go to public school.

This.
Potomac parents have chips on their shoulders. They always try to sneak in the school. I think most of the lists are made up by them.

Just like the unreasonable lists made by Catholic school parents trying to sneak in Gonzaga and Visi right.. I mean putting them above SAES and Madeira is nuts!? Not sure why parents cant understand that outside of sports, Potomac is a good school not an academic powerhouse but a top school for sure. Maybe you're salty you have to drive your kids to school everyday who knows -NCS and Potomac parent

To be fair, it’s mostly the STA moms who are trying to push that nonsensical narrative—with absolutely no proof. The NCS parents on this thread seem connected to reality.

That’s BS. There are plenty of kids at Bullis, Saints and even SJC who could have excelled at your precious “big 3” but preferred their choice. No reason to put them down.

My kid is NOT at a Big3 or Big 5. We are at a Catholic High School, are Catholic and only applied to Catholic schools. That said, my child scored in the 99% for the HSPT. Keep in mind this demographic that does not consider your big whatever schools at all but will consider the top Catholic schools.

Same situation in our family...we have two that scored 99% and only considered Catholic high schools.

Thanks for outing yourself—and your agenda. DD is at NCS and DS is at Potomac because likely rejected by St. Albans and/or Gonzaga. It’s all clear now. Why else would you have one in DC and one in VA? Who’s really the one salty about their commute?
Anonymous
Stop it with the Gonzaga nonsense. No one who has a kid at Potomac was rejected at Gonzaga. WCAC schools are not the same as independent day schools. Gonzaga and SJC are not in the top 15 best private schools in the area.

Says who? You? Your unsubstantiated and biased contentions are meaningless to all of us. They are also entirely inaccurate.
