I think the first rule of being a stooge is probably something like “don’t kill your boss’s soldiers!”

So how’s that work?

Putin was not happy about Trump selling Javelin to Ukraine. Javelin is defensive and Obama’s wimpy @ss would not bite his lip and tell Putin that unless his tanks came into Ukraine, then neither he nor his tanks/tank crews would have to worry about Javelin.

Trump justified it that way, Javelin is defense only. America was not selling heavy weapons to Ukraine to do anything other than to allow Ukraine to defend itself.

They hysteria here is embarrassing and unserious, the people posting are uninformed and willfully ignorant. I thought people from in and around DC would be smarter but they are not. I also don’t discount they propagate willfully false information because they do not like Trump. They have made this thread and it’s completely false and stupid. Trump has helped Ukraine from the start and against the wishes of Putin.

Then why is he telling the GOP to hold Ukraine aid now? Why is he telling the world that the US won't be a part of NATO under a second term? Why is he isgnalling that murdering Navalny is ok, just like murdering Khossghi was ok?

Trump was smart enough to give Ukraine heavy weaponry to fight Russian tanks.

Obama was not; also, Obama didn’t want to anger Putin.

Trump is fighting with Ukraine and Obama let Putin take Crimea.

No, Russipublicans are the reason that the US hasn’t been able to send sufficient aid. And that’s the way the Party of Russia likes it.

Time to send in American soldiers! Let’s get major skin in the game. Send your son, he is going to fight for Ukraine, right?

Now, for the election cycle, a few countries will expend the minimum amount agreed to. *weak clapping, clears throat, whispers: “remember, Trump is Hotler.” leaves podium without taking a single question.*

NATO countries need to pay the minimum (2%) and stop dependence on US taxpayers.

The whole point of sending aid is so the Ukrainians can fight their war and US military doesn't have to.

And that message has been delievered consistently by US Presidents since 2010 and it does take time for countries to adjust their budgeting, which they did starting in 2017-2018 after years of Obama calling it out. Trump was right to continue Obama's policy.

“President Barack Obama echoed President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday, signaling to America’s NATO allies that if Greece can pay its fair share even during an economic crisis, so can the other members of the alliance.”

Wow Obama was echoing Trump, what a strong leader. Trump made Obama look like crap and you think that’s a win?

“President Barack Obama echoed President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday, signaling to America’s NATO allies that if Greece can pay its fair share even during an economic crisis, so can the other members of the alliance.”

Obama’s policy was to echo Trump.

Obama had the strength of an overcooked spaghetti noodle.

It goes back well before Trump.

So Trump is pointing out an ongoing problem and democrats are calling him a “warmonger?”

Do you think we should indefinitely carry Nato’s financial load?

What do you think should be done to fix this situation?

People are calling Trump an unAmerican warmonger because he invited Putin to invade whoever he wants.

I guess now that you put it that way, sure, have Putin roll those tanks in and spill some blood to teach them a lesson. Who needs peace anyway?

Oh please.

For years and years and years, Europeans never lived up to their end of the NATO bargain. Then they had the gall to S all over us for our healthcare,. education, etc. because they never had to spend pretty coin on their own defense while they were able to use trillions of our own tax payer dollars to protect themselves.

Let's see how many free universities, free healthcare, and pension systems they have after they're forced to spend a trillion to build up their defense on their own.

We have homeless people in the streets. Our universities are unaffordable. Our citizens die because of unaffordable healthcare and lack of access to things like insulin. Maybe it is time we stopped spending on Europe so much and spent on our own citizens and infrastructure. Besides, Asia is more important now anyway.

Then maybe Europe should start spending money to defend themselves?

Why is Ukraine going to collapse without US financial assistance and weapons? Why isn't Europe spending money to defend Europe?

Sorry, Europeans don't get to trash us because of our healthcare and education, but then come crying like beggars once they need big brother to protect them sine they never want to spend money on their own military.

Russians are rolling tanks currently. Russians are spilling blood currently.

And NATO is underfunded because the NATO countries don’t care. But Trump is the bad guy for pointing it out.
