Ah! I thought I was the only one! Found him so cute until suddenly I saw this connection. |
Freakish. That’s a bit much. |
| I came on here to see if there was a thread. I had higher expectations after the first five episodes. Too much. Just too much |
What is? |
| Better than expected. |
|
Just binged. Did not read the book— maybe thinking I will now.
Ok, so I have had one of these encounters where I met someone and there was this instant weird connection where we were joking about being in a past life together. It can definitely happen and the guy was definitely better looking than me |
| Do you meet every year? Has he recently chucked all else and started working in a kaf slinging flat whites? If so, don’t ride a bike |
Because he’s white and blonde? You lost me there |
| This reminds me of all the comments about how unattractive and not good enough for the male lead Simone Ashley is after Bridgerton s2 and pointing to his previous LI as a better fit. Hmm can’t qwhite put my finger on what the common denominator is. |
Which is especially telling bc Simone Ashley is gorgeous in a pretty conventional way |
|
Leo Woodall is adorable. Kind of reminds me of a young Leonardo DiCaprio. Possibly cuter. I enjoyed watching him in this role.
That said, paul mescal in normal people - a similar kind of role but a bit more intense - was completely mesmerizing. |
I don't know what you're talking about. I was slightly obsessed with Bridgeton season 2 and read just about everything I could find about it. I don't recall a single article that said Simone Ashley was not good looking enough for the male lead. Not one--the unanimous opinion across all the press was that she was gorgeous and they were a gorgeous couple. You are just trying to stir up sh$%T. People are talking about a mismatch in One Day because Ambika is downright not attractive. It has nothing to do with race. |
Seriously! It's almost like the dominant culture has white washed, I mean brainwashed everyone as to what beauty/handsomeness should look like. |
I mean - maybe the majority or posters are just white and people are predispositioned to find their own race more attractive. I don’t think that’s racist. We can’t control who we are attracted to, and I don’t think it’s racist for someone to say they don’t find a particular person attractive. Perhaps as a society we should focus less on constantly tearing apart women’s appearances in general. |
Me as well. First is confused me and later it really annoyed me. |
