At a minimum, I will not vote in favor of any sitting Board member who doesn’t do much as offer a courtesy reply to my emails. The only one who has done so is Smondrowski.

Shebra Evans ignores everyone's emails.

There are three board seats on the ballot this year: District 2 (roughly Rockville/Gaithersburg/North Potomac), District 4 (roughly Takoma Park/Silver Spring/Wheaton), and an At-Large seat. The primary election is May 14th. So far only two candidates are running, both for the At-Large seat:

Sharif Hidayat
Fitzgerald Mofor

I thought Fitzgerald Mofor was a placeholder for someone from Fitzgerald Automall

I wouldn't mind seeing a teacher member of the board, even if it didn't have a vote, but just to be able to call out the mcps nonsense. I've had my beef with them before, but I think MCEA isn't quite the bad union people think it is (Looking at MCAAP...) but I do think MCEA would have to try to be as impartial as possible with regards to that.

Shebra loves the status of being an elected official, but not the work that accompanies the position. She doesn't appear to be a problem solver.

Very accurate. She only likes good news and photo ops.

We need to fight like hell to get her out. She is a waste of space in that seat. I can't point to a single accomplishment she's made since serving on the board.

A quick google search shows keywords such as: social justice advocate, Cannabis, NCC Elementary School PTA etc

Maybe someone from North Chevy Chase ES can chime in
