Indictment Monday?

I would have not hired the lawyer who declared me guilty on national TV. But I’m not Donald Trump.

My theory for why Trump is doing this is that he wants to make sure that DeSantis doesn't benefit from Trump's legal troubles. Trump is going out of his way to paint DeSantis as the one that holds the key to the case.

If DeSantis intervenes, it will make him look like Trump's lackey. If he doesn't intervene, it will look like he is handing over a Florida resident to a malicious out-of-state prosecutor. There's really no scenario in which DeSantis will look good to the ardent Trump supporters.

The testimony from Costello yesterday is very damning for Bragg's "star" witness, Cohen. And, Costello has the receipts.

An indictment and a trial will expose Bragg as the incompetent boob that he is. Because even partisans in NY will not be able to ignore the evidence.

So damning that the DA didn’t even bother calling cohen back for rebuttal? Please tell us all about Costellos testimony since you know so much.

He has emails (330) and documents to back up his testimony.
Cohen told Costello - repeatedly - that he made the payment to Stormy Daniels without telling Trump. He did it on his own.
This totally blows up the case that Bragg thinks he has.

Even if that’s true, it doesn’t affect Braggs case at all. Braggs case is about the cover up of the payment and then deducting it as a business expense. Donny was definitely involved in that because he signed the checks and other paperwork.

Sure. You'll see. Bragg's case is a bust. It was stupid for him to even try to revive this case when it was declined by others.
Tell us it's not political. It is very political.

Trying to deduct hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of hookers and blow as a business expense is political?

And by hiring you intimate that the lawyer got paid.

There is no lawyer with any semblance of a reputation willing to defend Trump.

Yep. If the GOP would stop supporting him, he’d become irrelevant and fade away. But they won’t.

We've also learned that we can't trust polls.

My crazy theory is that Bragg isn't going to indict. It's just a smoke screen for the special counsel investigation, which is getting very close to indictment.

My crazy theory is that Bragg will, but that he has more than just the Stormy Daniels stuff. Cohen testified to them like 20 times.

I agree that the Jack Smith stuff seems to be heating up. Piercing attorney-client privilege is a BFD.

Trump said he’d get arrested on “Tuesday”….but he didn’t say which Tuesday! Could be a Tuesday in 2027!

It's pretty obvious that he has been engaging in lots of tax fraud for years. We know about expensing the hush payment, we know about the under the table (and expensed) payments , we know about the property valuation games, we know about the golf course grave, we know about charging the USG $3 for every glass of water drunk at mar a lago, we know about the secret service greens and golf cart fees, we know about Trump hotel, we know about the double entries from his bankruptcies, and so on and so on and so on. His entire modern life has been about agressive tax gimmicks and expensing everything. Cohen knew about all that stuff.

Why do Democrats keep forcing Republicans to say they want Trump to be their nominee? Democrats could stop this in an instant simply by
