It is a good segment. Saw it at 5 PM |
| Should have been called “Who is the biggest oppressor” instead of bingo. |
| Maybe Gatehouse should be forced to examine their privilege by visiting with Gold Star families. |
Aren’t they just “losers” who give you covid? That’s what some people say. |

If this happens often for you maybe you should stop getting your news from trash sources. |
PDE propaganda trash? Hard pass. |
Came across my Twitter feed. I normally listen to NBC & read Wapo, so no, I would not have heard about it yesterday if it hadn't come across my Twitter feed that includes left and right news sources. |
| If they hadn't dinged the military, it most likely never would have been reported by the left news sources. |
This. Brabant needs to fire some people for this. |

So who is in charge of military family relations for FCPS? They need to step in here and fix this scandal — obviously some rogue staff hold deep-seated bias against military members. This bingo card goes against FCPS’ Month of Military Child designation each April:
“Each year, our nation designates April as the Month of the Military Child to recognize and thank children from military families for the sacrifices they make living the military lifestyle. The recognition is part of the legacy of former Defense Secretary Casper Weinberger who established the commemoration in 1986. During the month, one day is selected as the day to “Purple Up! For Military Kids” and all are encouraged to wear purple in recognition of the strength and sacrifices of military-connected youth (MCY). Why purple? Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is the combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine red, and Navy blue. Military connected youth face unique circumstances living the military lifestyle. By understanding the lifestyle of military-connected youth we can better meet their needs as they transition with their family members who serve our nation. Currently over 14,000 military-connected youth call FCPS home. Celebrating the Month of the Military Child provides a powerful opportunity to raise awareness and build support to help these children meet the unique challenges they face! It is an opportunity to recognize and thank military children and youth for their heroism, character, courage, sacrifices and continued resilience. FCPS is proud to recognize all military-connected children this April during Month of the Military Child. Each year we join our country in celebrating the resiliency of military-connected children for their tremendous service and sacrifice at home in the U.S. and overseas.” |
“Dinged”? How is saying that being in the military is a privilege “dinging” the military? It’s not a negative. |
Our school has at least one gold star family. |
If it had happened in elementary or middle school, no one would have known Fortunately it happened in high school where the student was astute enough to take pictures and speak up. |
