What the Wall Street Protesters Want

Having their college tuition paid for, just because.

I completely support public schools and public education, but I do think you need to draw the line somewhere. Do we start paying for everybody's college tuition?

I like this quote from the article:

"He has perfectly articulated a sentiment I have heard repeatedly but was struggling to distill with anything like the clarity he achieved: That being that if there is something someone doesn’t like about their life, someone else somewhere should change it. And if they don’t, well then, the American Dream is dead:"

The protesters have not stated their demands. That is something they get criticized for in almost every media report about them. So, don't be an idiot thinking that the National Review is somehow knows what the protesters want.

Oh right, take what one protester says and decide that that's what the whole movement wants. Hmmmm....didn't the Tea Party folks complain that people called them racist based on an occasional sign carried by some jerk?

You need to develop your critical thinking skills.

Are you the same person who started the thread about how Republicans couldn't be racist because they are supporting Herman Cain? If so, you obviously don't like being judged based on the warped views of a few people who happen to be both racist and Republican but you seem eager to do the same to people who hold different views.

I am sure that if a Wall Street firm offered them a job when they graduated college they would have jumped for joy and taken it.

I feel VERY bad for recent graduates, especially of grad schools (like law schools) who lie to them about employment statistics and charge outrageous tuition.

But this generation is also so coddled and narcissistic with such a sense of entitlement, that it becomes a recipe for disaster once the tough times hit. Bad situation.

They need to consider really crappy jobs just to get their foot in the door.

Umm, some of them need to consider bathing and perhaps getting a hair cut. Perhaps learn how to make a decent protest signs (learn to spell f*ck...) and cleanup after yourselves. I saw a small group of them in Baltimore last weekend. Not very impressive in my opinion.

Question what is your retirement looking like? Remember with the current republican plan you must add 200 k to cover your medical care if you are under 55. You saving enough to pay for your kids college? It is funny the Tp'er I know are all over 65 and collecting ss and Medicare. They are living large on the socialist government they hate.

Watch what happens when a republican gets in office. It will be like bush again, tax cuts, deficit spending, the cheerleaders(GOP/tp'ers) and no jobs. I don't like the dems, but there is no way I want more failed and worn out Republican policies.

I love how American conservatives are so deferential to any sort of strong overlord. As long as protestors are dressed in tri-corner hats, and spreading their cheeks for an powerful oligarchy, they can't get enough of them. Want reasonable social safety net, an unemployment rate below 9%, and a progressive tax rate high enough to support a functional infrastructure? OUTRAGE! Unfair to our corporate overlords!

Meanwhile, here's a start:

Herman Cain is a disingenuous piece of shit:

How exactly would this work? Because the extra money the rich would save on taxes would trickle down? Sorry, the last 30 years show that this doesn't work.
