Please don't stop, keep hammering home the racist Tea Party meme. It has traction, it really does... |
The tea party itself is not racist, but I'd guess that almost all ravists ate tea party. |
No a good number of racists love Harry Reid. |
Actually, Cain will only gain support as long as he does everything he can to make Republicans forget that he is black. Just look what happened when he rightly criticized Perry for the name of his hunting camp. Here is Glen Reynolds:
http://pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/128979/ "I think that Herman Cain hurts himself by joining in on these attacks. His big appeal is that he’s not just another black race-card-playing politician. Climbing on board with the Post’s hit piece suggests that actually, he is." So, basically, Cain should not mention race at all unless he is accusing Obama of being anti-white. Otherwise, he will just be a "black race-card-playing politician". |
Why can't they all be like JC Watts? |
NBC/WSJ poll: Cain now leads GOP pack http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44881446/ns/politics-decision_2012/#.TpZQGXJXKon
Those damn racist republicans. It just keeps getting worse and worse... |
The white male is going to win the nomination. You know it. I know it. What are you going to say then, when it happens? |
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/29/AR2006012900642_pf.html:
That doesn't mean that even one individual's racism will swamp his/her other opinions and prejudices, and it obviously doesn't mean that there aren't enough non-racist Republicans to nominate a black man. That's why Cain's current standing doesn't disprove that a Rep is more likely to be racist. If you think that, like the man said, you're just in denial. British odds makers give only 7-to-1 against Cain right now, so I think it's a great time to bet against him. Don't think you can do that online, though. |
who isn't prejudiced? you don't think minority groups are not prejudiced against whites? dumb. |
I am a republican and I like Cain because of his positions--not because he is African-American. Other repubs dislike Cain because of his positions--not because he is African-American. It is that simple. The eventual candidate will get the nomination based upon ideals and positions not because of race. You demean everyone's intelligence--including yours--when you try to tie everything to an issue of race. Enough already. |
Do you deny that there are Republicans who will not vote for Romney because he is a Morman? |
Do you deny that their are Dems who wouldn't vote for a candidate because he/she is a Morman/Catholic/Jew/African-American/Caucasian/Insert word of your choice. What is your point? There are bigots on both side of the aisle. Neither party is immune. |
I'm sure there are a lot of voters, Republican or Democrat, who would not vote for a mormon, a scientologist, an evangelical christian, an athiest, etc., because of their beliefs (or lack thereof). Seeing as Romney is the presumptive nominee, seems silly to knock REPUBLICAN voters for this alleged bigotry.
Personally, I think the origins of LDS are bizarre and fake with documented evidence of Joe Smith's fraud and motives (money and chicks), but whatever. I'm not going to hold it against someone who was born into it. |
First off, OP started off by saying "See! Reps aren't racist!" This didn't start with anyone calling Reps racist, so I don't know why conservatives are complaining about the race card in this thread.
Second, instead of just blah blah blah from your personal self-evaluation and your casual judgment of what you see around you, why not look at the data? The studies show that Reps are more racist - i.e., that a Rep is more likely to think less of a black man. |
read the entire studies - what do they say about prejudices of Democrats? everyone is prejudiced. dumb. |
