I would not take multivitamin. If you eat healthy food there is no reason to take anything other than perhaps vitamin D and fish oil. I agree that turmeric probably does not harm. But iron etc. could be positively dangerous. |
I've started only taking the multivit on days when I haven't eaten much fruit or veggies. I also only take calcium on days when my dietary dairy intake is low (I drink and eat a lot of dairy, so I often get 1200 or more through diet). |
In late 40s and take
Mukti B complex Fish oil Magnesium/calcium Garlicsuppliment |
Late 40's and I take Centrum Silver. I feel like I could tall buildings in a single bound when I take them. |
Late 40s and I take:
salmon oil vita D occasional food-derived multi vitamin with iron ** I'm aware of the iron -> cancer emerging area of inquiry. But I, personally, don't get much iron otherwise because I don't eat fortified breads, cereals, juices that most other Americans eat; or red meat/pork. Food-based multi-vitamins contain about as much iron per pill as you would get if you ate spinach, lima beans and pork chops with some regularity. Some of the Centrum-like products are more like steroids. |

You are nuts. You’ve been slamming the threads here with a lot of misinformation. You’re the one on HRT who is on a weird iPad. If you make broad medical claims try to offer some proof or something. |
