Just received the parent email. |
What a disappointment. Didn't someone here recently predict that the best principals would be leaving DCPS?
|
is she leaving-leaving or going to another school? What does the parent email say? |
Very disappointing. She's going to work for New Schools Venture Fund and will hopefully use her expertise to improve or create other outstanding middle schools in other wards. |
maybe Deal will get a principal that knows the meaning of "inside voice" |
I am so sad about this. My kid is going to be so sad!! But maybe this means she can replicate strong middle schools!!! |
I don't believe it. I need to see it in the Post or some other reputable source. This sort of tomfoolery happens every now and then on DCUM. |
in DCPS you have to get out fast after the scores go up and before they go down. |
ITA. Get the $ now.
|
I also received the email from Kim. But, if you need to see it in the Post, check Bill Turque's Twitter feed. |
Sorry it's true. I recEived the email too. |
DCPS principal is a thankless job that has gotten only more challenging with the advent of IMPACT and the amount of time it takes from a principal's day.
It's a sad day for DCPS, but I'm sure Kim will be better compensated for working far fewer and less stressful hours. She did a lot of good for students in DCPS and even though we didn't get a spot in the school, I've always been very impressed by Kim and Deal. I wish her the best of luck. |
I love that she is going to a pro-charter organization. Definitely needed on the middle school level! |
What a loss for DCPS and for Deal! But she certainly has the right stuff to move to a wider arena. |
she will be missed |
