I would expect an indictment would come from a DC-based grand jury, so it would not be on this court's docket. Also I don't think a sealed indictment would be filed on the same docket number as the search warrant.

Maybe the FBI can claim they took the passports to match up trips to Russia with events under investigation. I don't think you can confiscate someone's passport without a judge's OK to do so because, flight risk. Right?

i guess he could hop a ride on an oligarch's plane out of NJ and that pilot would not really care....and as long as it can fly from NJ nonstop to Russia, all is good
