Will Whittle be around next year?

Were kids successful in getting admitted elsewhere for next year? Students not in an expansion year must have had a hard time.

That is probably the longest WSS can go until. I really don't see WSS continuing past the current year. Families should at least make plans to send their children to other schools for the next school year. Of course CW and his inner circle are not being forthright about this situation. The school homepage is severely outdated.

We’ve been through tough times, and this is an important time in your lives. You didn’t sign up for this. So, I can appreciate the desire for justice, or vengeance, or even just cathartic speculation. If this forum is able to provide what you need, then so be it.

Honestly, I’m impressed at the knowledge and writing skills you’ve displayed on this thread. Should we turn the page with new funding, there’s no doubt in my mind that you will be the shining stars at Whittle. And if not, you will go on to make proud any institution that supports you.

Hello Valmir

Dude 😂😂😂😂

We heard that this was an especially heavy year, application wise. Really relieved that DC got into their top choice for a nonexpansion year.

Any word on whether the school will still exist after the spring break? It must be coming up soon....

May depend on how many deposits they can wrangle out of unsuspecting applicant families.

What established school would want a white elephant like that?

And who could float a deal in March, staff up, then recruit students for fall 2022 when acceptance letters went out today all over the DMV for established schools?

The Whittle school will be wiped out in business terms, then the next tenant may or may not be a school that could open in fall 2023. But it will have ZERO to do with the previous school. Anyone with that much money at their disposal is not that stupid.

Someone marketing to international students? Particularly those relatively new to private / boarding schools. It might have zero to do with the current school, but it’s sounds like CW will have updated photos just in case.

Yep, most students here including myself have plans to leave. In the very unlikely event that the school is open next year, new students will probably make up the majority of the student body and out of everyone I've talked to only two people are definitely staying.

Anyone get waitlisted at Whittle?

Whittle really can't afford to be selective. They need to accept anyone who applies and more than that, persuade them to even come.

People actually applied? That is some extreme risk tolerance.

Whittle admissions criteria (in order of importance)

1. Sufficient funds to pay tuition and monthly teacher "gifts"
2. Body temperature between 97 and 99 degrees

Some of these troll posts are hilarious. IDK if it's students or adults.
