| I'm looking for some boots for the winter. I don't go sloshing around in the snow but just to run errands and take the kids here and there. Are Hunter boots worth the hype or do they look sloppy? I'm not a skinny jean wearing girl but I could stuff regular jeans in them I'm sure. I'm debating between Hunter boots or some regular brown boots. Thoughts? |
| Hunter boots aren't insulated, so if you're looking for something to keep your feet warm, those aren't the boots unless you want to wear insulated socks with them. If I were looking for winter boots, I wouldn't buy Hunters. |
| Hunter boots are rain boots, not for snow. Plus they are so 2008. |

When I see a SAHM prancing around in her HUNTER boots with the HUNTER logo right there in front, I immediately think 65% less of her because she is a brand slut.
|
| Yeah they're worth it for sloshing around in the rain. Utilitarian. |
| I got them bc they made them in my favorite color, orange. Wear them throughout the winter, no they aren't that warm but they look cuter than other boots I see. I wear them with skinny jeans or black spandex work out pants |
| Definitely rain boots, not wearing around boots. They aren't even that easy to walk in. And they look really out of place when it isn't raining. |
I wear mine when it's raining but also if it is forecasted to rain or if it has stopped raining but there are puddles everywhere. |
| They are rain boots. I went through two pairs of cheaper boots before finally buying Hunters. I didn't want to spend the money and don't like the logo, but they are really good quality and I would have been better off buying them from the get go. |

baloney. single-piece rubber is single piece rubber, assuming the same millimeter thickness.
My garden boots that I bought at Walmart in 2002 for $14.98 are still going strong. And they actually get punished, the way boots were meant to be. Not mollycoddled in "cute" colors in the pick-up line at Beavoir.

these are ugly as sin |

Everyone should have a pair of Hunter boots. They are the best for wet rainy days and will last forever. Hunters are the only cute rain boots around and will never go out of style. Think English wellies.
They are for rain not intended to be your winter boots. Check out Sorel. |
Sounds bitter and clueless. 65%? LOL! |
agree. what a ridiculous criteria and naked disdain for SAHMs. |
So sorry I don't wear what you'd like me to when picking up my kids from school. And that I don't "punish" my boots "the way boots were meant to be." Am no sure what you're doing in your rain/garden boots that I'm not. You've piqued my interest, though. Is it kinky? Worth starting another thread in the relationships forum for?
