Hunter boots...are they worth it?

Anonymous
When I see a SAHM prancing around in her HUNTER boots with the HUNTER logo right there in front, I immediately think 65% less of her because she is a brand slut.

Sounds bitter and clueless. 65%? LOL!

agree. what a ridiculous criteria and naked disdain for SAHMs.

I am a SAHM. You mean I'm self loathing?

No. I mean jealous.

I love mine, and I wore them in the winter last year because I really wasn't hiking through the snow, just my driveway. I just wanted to keep my feet dry. It worked.

I actually thought of getting a pair. I had no idea they were even popular. I was attracted to the colors but not the price. What is selling me on them though is that they have really fun insulated socks fold over them so you can actually wear them in the snow too. That would be worth it to me, otherwise there are tons of cuter boots for half the price.

I wore mine with a couple pair of socks during snowmageddon a couple years ago, they were perfect in the snow drifts.

Don't they make insulate inserts for them?

These are Queen Elizabeth's boots of choice when she's at Balmoral. Fashionable they are not.

Just don't wear them with shorts and a tank top, like was posted on another thread. You WILL look silly, no matter how "hot" (not) you THINK you look. It will apparently not make you look any less 50 or more than you are.

Check out BOGS, OP.

They are rubber boots and will keep your feet dry, just like any other rubber boot.

I think they look silly because the calf opening is so big on most people - they are made for Clydesdales! I found some boots at Nordstrom that fit my calves better.

Calf openings for rain boots are supposed to be wide!

Isn't it funny that someone would see a mom wearing Hunter boots and then just assume that she's a SAHM and even if she is, what's wrong with that?

Kamik is a good brand and their rain boots are quite a bit cheaper than Hunters.

When I see you boarding the bus for your daily trudge to your boring paper pusher job in your shapeless Easy Spirit flats, I think you are pitiful.
