My dr recommended i take if after my failed Ivf cycle
It's a huge pill and I hate taking it, wondering what the benefits r |
| Hmm..I'm curious too. My dad's doctor has him taking it for Parkinsons. Now I'm really curious what kind of benefits it has for those TTC and those with Parkinsons. |
| I asked if it would help my egg quality and he said hopefully so I kinda discounted it, but I've have seen a few ppl mention on diff threads they r taking it. No one has mentioned why they take if though so curious of the benefits, esp if it's recommended for ppl with Parkinsons? Interesting... Hope someone can give insight |
| 15:22 here. I just googled it and looked up the wikipedia page (I know not the most trusted). My brain hurts now haha. It seems that it has something to do with replacing a vitamin needed in cells that produce ATP, which provides most of our energy in our body. Not sure if this could have something to do to help you. I will say that my dad noticed a HUGE improvement by taking this medication, so if you can stomach the size of the pill, I'd say go for it. If your insurance doesn't cover it, my dad found the cheapest place is buying it at GNC. I wish I could help you more! Good luck with your TTC. |
| PP here...sorry for typos and the fact that a couple of my sentences don't make sense.....my brain is still hurting from looking at the chemical compound. |
| I got mine from amazon maybe gnc has a smaller version? what type of improvement did ur dad see, more energy/control? |
Haha thanks for the research, I did some too but couldn't really understand
|
| I've read that it *may* help improve egg quality in females and sperm motility in males. I've been taking 100 mg daily for about 2-3 months. We've been trying for 6 months total with no luck so far. The 100 mg from GNC is not very big at all - they are relatively small capsules. And GNC offers them on special pretty frequently (BOGO) since they are kind of pricey. |
| What dose did your doctor recommend? I've heard of women taking up to 600 per day but I take 120 and have not seen the sucess I seek yet. |
|
My dr recommended 400 mg twice a day!
Those pills r def big, 100 maybe would not be so bad. I'll start taking mine tomorrow and hope they make a difference...I got mine from amazon, didn't check to see if gnc had them but I'm pretty sure most r 100mg and these r 400 each... |
19:51 here. Wow, yeah 400 mg is probably much bigger than the 100 mg. GNC does sell 200 mg and 400 mg also. Maybe give those a try if you go through all the ones from Amazon.
I'm very sorry about your failed cycle, OP. Hope you find the CoQ10 helpful! |
| Thanks, I'll check out gnc once these r done, they're expensive so I'm def going to finish them all no matter how big. I hope it helps, thanks again for all the responses! |
| Vitamin Shoppe has 50mg capsules. I hate swallowing tablets but these are ok for me. They had a buy one get one half price offer at the weekend, but not sure if it's still on. |
| I just looked at pubmed and most of the papers were about CoQ10 and MALE fertility. Apparently it can improve sperm quality. I only did a quick search so there may be papers on female infertility that I did not find. |
| I found some that say it may help egg quality when taken in doses over 600 mg for women. |
