Entertainment and Pop Culture
A white privileged woman, who grew up the daughter of rich parents, a doctor and a lawyer respectively, went to The Cambridge School of Weston and lived a privileged life. Decides suddenly to change her name and appropriate Latino culture. This is not OK |

Just to reiterate for those that seem to think she is Spanish
Her maternal grandmother's obituary https://obits.masslive.com/obituaries/masslive/obituary.aspx?n=irene-w-hayward&pid=182014936&fbclid=IwAR1ZrptDKBykXvVk8pFxanPmUcqjux4O0HMIz6m1pe5YBWMZfn9vMFr-70E Her own father saying he hasn't any Spanish background: https://internationalintegrators.org/food-and-relationship-slowing-down-to-enjoy-both/ |
| So many writers at basically every outlet you can think of are tweeting about this. I think it’s a safe bet an exposé is coming... |
She literally tweeted she was born in Boston. |
| Expose is coming and I am here for it! |
| You reap what you sow! This should continue to be very entertaining. Cannot wait to see how she tries to explain her way out of this one. |
|
My guess is she will deny it all. She’ll say she never claimed to be Spanish, just that her parents live there. She’ll say the accent is just from surrounding herself with Spanish nannies all day. Or that she adopted the accent from frequently visiting Spain. She changed her name to Hilaria because it was easier for Spanish people to pronounce when she visits Spain.
OR she’ll never address it and Alec will continue to pay off gossip rags so the story doesn’t get out. A wealthy white woman with zero Spanish heritage pulling off this ruse for 10 years is a master manipulator. |
| How does Ireland not know? What is her take on this? |
|
I wonder how long it takes before the blog post from her father gets wiped off the internet?
"I grew up in a Midwestern family that relocated to the East Coast of the United States when I was still an infant.... My path in life has been heavily influenced by Spanish language and culture, and not because I have an iota of latin blood in my veins." This is gold! |
Hopefully someone took a screenshot |
wouldnt this strengthen her case? Like oh, her father was so influenced by Spain and Spanish culture and so he raised her with it? |
Being raised in the Spanish culture wouldn’t explain the fake accent and skin darkening. |
Haha what case? she doesn't have one, she is an American girl, Hilary Lynn, who was born and bred in Boston. I love French culture but I don't go around speaking English with a French accent and pretending I'm French. |
| I kind of feel like we should all comment on her IG posts calling her out on this facade...what do you guys think?? |
| Found her old MySpace page (under Hillary Hayward Thomas) lol: https://myspace.com/156442767 |
