Actually I remember my dad getting drunk often when I was little. I also remember him whipping us when we disobeyed or were out of line. There was no sparring of the rod in our family nor in his when he was growing up. We adored our father. Our friends did as well. We knew he was a good man who loved us and did the best he could to provide for us. We miss him to this day.
BTW, many agencies investigated, mainly CPS, and concluded there was no abuse by Pitt. You probably disagree, but there’s loss all around in this situation. Nothing at all to celebrate.

What is verbal abuse? A disrespectful kid calling their dad a “pr**k” sounds like verbal abuse. You’re not privy to any prior incidents involving the family so you are simply speculating. And Jolie’s allegations against Pitt haven’t been proven either, since law enforcement agencies decided not to prosecute him.
