Well, surprise, surprise, that narrative appears to be falling apart:

Now the shooter apologists will blame the rock.

I'm super glad to hear that and that someone somewhere isn't feeling bad about that mistake.

Now you’ll have to shift blame elsewhere.

I don’t have an issue with door security, more security guards, AND STRICT GUN CONTROL with the banning of all rapid fire guns and extended magazines.

Everyone I know blames the shooter and those that allow people to have guns like that. I don't think anyone was blaming the teacher.

The entire GOP is calling for #DoorControl

I am wondering the same thing. I am so confused.

Maybe the cops held it open, like the Capitol riot.

+1

This happens EVERY DAY in America. This time, the victims are already dead at the hands of the shooter. In other cases, they are dead at police hands. Or they will spend the rest of their lives in jail for a crime they didn’t commit. Or lose their jobs because they spent months in jail because they couldn’t post bail due to a charge for a crime they didn’t commit. Or…or…or.

Like…come on, y’all. Police officers LIE. A lot. Whatever story fits their narrative, that’s the one they tell. This time, it’s REALLY public and it’s children they sacrificed.

This isn't true. I have worked with law enforcement agencies and whenever there is an officer involved shooting, the union instructs the officer not to speak to investigators, regardless of whether or not it's a "good" shoot. I'm sure the officers involved have hired lawyers. Just to be clear, police department and its response was wrong, wrong, wrong in this case. But staying silent is not unusual.

One of the teachers called her officer husband. She was dying in the classroom, he was on site at the school (reported on NPR today).

Here's the door on Google Street View:

Pretty easy to see that you can shoot out the window, reach your hand inside, and open the door.

So it either didn’t lock or he would have blown it out in 5 seconds.

Jason Bourne joins the thread.

How long did it take Adam Lanza to shoot his way through the doors of Sandy Hook ES with his semiautomatic rifle w/30-round magazines?

Not a ton of details in the reporting. Sounds like other officers held him back. Another officer, who was friends with her and her husband, describs being with her when she does.

If she held on all that time...it just gets worse and worse.

It really does just keep getting worse and worse. The first funerals and the ever changing stories from the police and Republicans.

It’s so sad that this country is so full of self serving idiots. We couldn’t get people to wear a mask during a pandemic, how on earth do people expect the same people to hand over their guns.
