Review of Free Photo Shoot

Hello DCUM'ers!

I just finished a photoshoot with xxxxxxxxx, and I have to say, I am SO IMPRESSED with her professionalism and the results!! She took so much time before the shoot to get to know the exact tone that I wanted for the shoot, and then suggested a most beautiful location in the city that I wouldn't have thought of to do it. She answered all of my emails unbelievably promptly, and was prompt and prepared for the shoot. She established a rapport quickly and easily with my kids, and then was absolutely masterful with the camera. Really, I can NEVER get good shots of my kids, and xxxxx was awesome. She has a great, natural eye, and knew how to "direct" us without the photos feeling "posed" or "unnatural."

I am so happy with the raw images, and so excited to see the few that she will edit with photoshop. She was great to work with, and I just want to do everything I can to help her as she begins her journey to being a professional photographer! Those who also took her up on the offer for the free shoot should be SO HAPPY!!! Honestly, she is great, and I just want to spread the word.

If the photo shoot was free and the photographer isn't charging, then why would she be on here self-promoting herself? She's not going to make any money even if she does gain clients.

OP here. I am NOT xxxxx, and am posting a review. If you search the archives, you'll see that Ayana had a post about 2 weeks ago, and is a very thoughtful, young new photographer. Your response is not appreciated, and I find your post a buzzkill. AGAIN, for those who have a photoshoot scheduled with her, you will be VERY HAPPY. to 21:13, please keep your snarkiness to yourself. This is a board for sending and receiving posts about good services.

OP here. This is just ridiculous. My name is Maia, I live in Glover Park, we did a photo shoot with xxxxx, and she is AWESOME. Please, enough! I wanted to give her some props for doing a great job. CERTAINLY don't want it to backfire, and I'm sure it won't. Those that are doubting this posts' legitimacy should not. Thanks...jeez, people!

If you have received a free photo shoot, would you consider paying xxxxx for her services in the future, once she hopefully establishes her business (i.e., can start making a profit, assuming this is what she intends to do)?
