Why are we still letting people from Pakistan into this country?

Seriously. We know the people who hate us and we know where they're from. So why are we letting people from these countries here? At some point we need to start accepting certain realities and adjusting to them.

Actually, if you banned travel from citizens of any country in which the people hate the US, we would have very few visitors. The Pakistanis probably wonder why they let Americans into their country given that our constant drone attacks kill so Pakistanis. We kill far more of them then they kill of us.

I've worked with Pakistani students who come here FINANCED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT to study and be a cultural link. Really I would love to have those kids in the country any day over someone like you.

Actually, the OP is sort of right. While the majority of people from Pakistan and the ME are going to make solid American citizens, there are these types. And I cringe at calling them Americans. How do you weed these out before letting them carry an American passport?

There is nothing in that article to suggest that the two suspected Americans are nationalized citizens, let alone of Pakistani origin. Your question is like asking how do we weed out people like Timothy McVeigh.

At this point - our country is under attack- so any non american friendly country should not be in anyway considered for citizenship or any kind of visa. PERIOD. No embassy pass to do whatever with no consequences= no anything. Just stay out.

At this point - our country is not under attack. We did get attacked ten years ago. And if we would focus on the countries which raised and harbored the attackers, we would have a compeletely different set of priorities.

I understand that liberals will never accept that we are at war with Islamic fundamentalists. It conflicts with their kumbaya notion of the world. Thus you all are against any measure to deal with it. I'm all for immigration but I know that we have enemies in certain cultures and they don't fucking belong in our country.
