Is GDS proposing to pay for the public land it would take?
And under the PUD rules, can amenities offset the taking? |
No. They say that because they are going to build some fancy stairs on 42nd st they don't have to pay for the land.
|
GDS's stairs will be paved with gold. From their evil real estate holdings. |
The steps are where all those uber-gifted and talented students will hang out during free periods. Some "community amenity"! |
Well if kids are hanging out on the steps, I know I won't.
If anything these millennial should be apologizing for being in my neighborhood. |
And, get off my lawn. |
How long will it be before we have Wilson kids coming down to the steps and getting into the neighborhood? |
They already take over the steps to the Tenleytown metro station. It's chaos there some days when Wilson lets out! |
Why not? It will be a place for the community to sip soy lattes and gaze onto GDS. |
I hope that if we can secure bussing for GDS students out to their gated communities in Potomac, we can secure bussing for Wilson students back to Anacostia, so they don't have to take over our neighborhood for an hour a day. |
^^^^^^^
You have some serious issues and you absolutely do not speak for me or anyone I know in OUR neighborhood. |
Said Mr. or Ms Scrooge.... |
Probably posted by the guy with the rambling speech at a GDS meeting about how people who wanted the buildings to be less high were demanding that future residents of the towers wear scarlet A's.
|
I think I know who you're talking about. He claimed to be from this area and work here, but he has a very active social media account and seems chummy with the architect and the chief Ward 3 Vision useful idiot.
I suspect that he's another one of the GDS's paid for team, like the woman who claimed to recently have moved here, with kids that she conveniently didn't bring to the meeting. |
