It would be a lot more fun to make light of all this (and I’d be totally inclined to join you in that!) if it weren’t for the fact that these childish antics appear to have dragged down the reputation of a man who was just trying to make a poignant film about domestic violence. The guy hs literally spent most of his adult life championing the causes of feminism—and not only is BL seemingly trying to take over his own movie, but she was allegedly trying to push him out of future films in the franchise because she wanted control. And RR appears to have created an entire character to insert into the Deadpool movie (Nicepool) based on this guy that honestly looks like it served no purpose but to troll and humiliate him.
It’s really bad.

Justin is totally winning the PR war. Regardless of how this comes out in litigation, he has won and Blake has lost.

I suspect this is actually happening because RR feels threatened by JB. JB is younger, hotter, and has abs you could use to cut diamonds. RR is pushing 50 and does campy Marcel movies.

Wishful thinking. At 40 JB barely has a career to speak of.

JB is odd, not as hot as he thinks he is, and not even close to RR in his prime. RR is still way more attractive than JB, but RR is evidently a snake.

I think JB is sexy as hell. I has never heard of him before this movie. I think he's a very good actor for romantic lead. I would rather watch him any day that smarty pants, smug voice Ryan Reynolds. He seems obsessed with himself and his dopey brand of fake self deprecation and sarcasm. Maybe when he stops acting 17 I'll find him more interesting.

I agree with this.

So do I. He wasn’t the lead in Jane the Virgin for nothing. He’s a good looking guy. Nose and all.

Isn’t he so greasy and oily looking? JB looks like he would smell like body odor and hair that hasn’t been washed in a week. He looks stinky. He is not my type I guess. RR is about what, 15 yrs older than JB? He’s not too bad considering. Look at RR when he was JB’s age.

I don’t know their personalities but on looks alone Baldoni is so much more handsome and sexy than Reynolds! Are you blind?! Reynolds is just some generic tall white dude with a big forehead.

RR is just objectively cleaner looking, JB looks dirty in a bad way. He looks better with less facial hair and with a short haircut. RR back in the early 2000s was very good looking.

That's always a possibility too. Blake also repeating the story too makes me think she wasn't totally clueless

I’m guessing it was something like JB gave the Young Lily audition tape to BL to watch on her own time. BL watched it while TS was over and asked TS opinion whether that actress could pass for a younger version of her; TS looked up from her drink and was like “sure why not” and then forgot all about it. Then BL went back to JB and took the opportunity to flex and name drop her famous friend and puffed it up like “oh yes TAYLOR and I think she’s perfect!” And JB repeated the story because he had no reason to disbelieve it and saw any association with TS as a positive thing for the movie.

That way nobody is outright lying.

He has that whole natural hippie look going on.

I honestly don’t find either one physically attractive at all.

No way. Do not drag Ryan gosling into this and marry him off to khaleesi. He is not a dragon.

Again, Ryan and Blake do not have any higher education. They are dumber than rocks. Actors are not intelligent people. They are just professional liars.

Neither are great. Baldoni is greasy and oily looking and looks like he smells either of patchouli or BO. Pass.

DP. I honestly have never seen the appeal of RR. He's not handsome and his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. His constant sarcasm/quippiness is beyond tiresome.

I think Baldoni and his wife are both better looking than Reynolds/Lively.

I find them both unattractive. RR has weird/intense theater kid energy and is too smiley and smug for me. JB is creepy and I loath the whole "I'm a sensitive, feminist guy -- not like those other guys" vibe. To me they are two sides of the same coin, these are personas created for their entertainment careers and neither seems authentic to me at all.

Ironically, I think Lively comes off as more authentic than either of them. Yes she is a mean girl, she thinks she's too cool for school and you can *feel* the disdain she has for other people frequently. But I think that's real! Whereas RR and JB don't seem like real people to me. They both use masks to distance themselves from people. For RR it's snark and smarminess. For JB it's "sensitivity" and being a guy who "gets it."

DP. OMG - I 100% agree with this assessment of RR and JB! You nailed it. One reason I was sort of slow to take JB's side is because he does have that smarmy, virtue-signaling type of personality which I abhor. But RR is pretty off-putting too. I feel like JB's version of events is correct and I hope he prevails, but he still gives me a major case of ick.
