+1 Books and plans to take down democracy aren’t written overnight. They’ve been workshopping this for years; it probably began in the Trump White House. This is the GOP’s baby. |
Why are Republicans/Trump supporters so concerned with separating the campaign from Project 2025? What is in there that concerns you so much? It’s clearly a document written by some of the most prominent backers of your party. If you support the Republican Party, why don’t you support Project 2025? Why do you think some of the most important policy makers behind it don’t actually reflect the views and intentions of the party?
Note: I know exact why Dems are concerned. I just don’t understand what in Project 2025 concern Republicans, considering the document appear to capture some many Republican objectives. |
Whether it’s under the aegis of Agenda 47 or Project 2025, the GOP is planning to do terrible things if they win:

Oh it’s the GOP’s hopes and dreams in a nutshell. They’re only concerned because they figured out that people have noticed how terrible their policies are, how anti-American and anathema to everything the country stands for, that people have cottoned on to it tapping into the worst veins in American history. |
I mean, yeah, I know that and you know that. But more importantly, why do they (Trump’s supporters) reject Project 2025? What is in there that they think is so bad? |
Project 2025 was a thing before Heritage put it on paper. Just go back to Trump’s administration. Schedule F, for example. |
1. It is not Trump's platform. 2. It is not the RNC's platform. 3. While there are some good things in it, there are others that many Republicans disagree with. 4. Many Democrats are flat out lying about what is in this document. |
This doesn’t answer my question. What don’t you like about it? What specifically in it would concern you if you found out it would be enacted? In other words, what in it, specifically, should Trump and the RNC distance themselves from? |
It is Trump and Vance’s platform. Own it because you’re going to be hearing about it nonstop for the next three months. |
