Kevin Roberts came from the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF). TPPF used to also be legit but then devolved into a right wing propaganda machine that reflects the current makeup of Texas lege and elected officials. TPPF gets a lot of money from an oil billionaire named Tim Dunn, who also funds Ted Cruz, et. al. He has done enormous damage to Texas. Kevin Roberts has been a big part of it.
