Especially for preschool and pre-K, what are the student/teacher ratios, and how big are the classes? I looked on LAMB's website and couldn't find the info. I know some on the list in my title only start at pre-K.
Thanks. |
| Yu Ying (pre-k) is 18 per class with a teacher and an assistant. |
| Mundo Verde is 18-20 (pre-k) and 18 (PS) with 2 teachers in both pre-k/PS. |
| LAMB (Military Rd location) 25 to 2. only 3 in PreS, ~12 preK, ~10 K |
| IT PS is 22 with a master teacher, resident teacher and an aid (not sure of credentials). |
| Stokes is 20 PK/PS (mixed class) with 2 teachers in classroom and a 3rd teacher that is split between two classes. So really: five teachers, 40 kids, two class rooms, plus shared playroom and PK exclusive playground. All teachers are TEACHERS, not aids. |
| EL Haynes is 21 students, a teacher and two aides. |
| Appletree is about 20 with two teachers and an assistant. |
|
IT seems to be two classrooms with 24 PS3 with two teachers and one paraprofessional (yet to be hired).
What is the DC-regulation for class size for 3 year olds? |
When I counted my kid's PS class at on day 1 I think there were 17 or 18 kids, but I haven't been there at the same time as all the kids since. |
| My DCPS has 15 kids, max 16. |
| OOPS, for PS 15 to 16. For PK, 18 |
| DCPS 16 children max for preschool with 1 teacher and 1 teaching assistant. PreK 18 children max with 1 teacher and 1 teaching assistant. |
Plus a floating aid for both classroom |
correction - Mundo Verde PS has 3 teachers |
