Do you think they are the same? Silly. |
Brooklyn Dad is not terribly smart, but we knew that. We couldn't care less about his romantic relationship. We do care about the fact that Fani hired her lover and profited off the pay he received as part of his job. And, that he was paid more than others, despite having no background in the type of case he was hired to prosecute. |
LOL. You think that everyone who testifies under oath is telling the truth? Wishful thinking. |
Thanks for making my point. You should tell that to PP who claimed we have to believe the friend from college because she said it under oath. |
I did not say that - you assumed it. I implied that it would be idiotic for someone to throw away their career to get back at a past employer. I took all the facts and circumstances and rolled them into my response without tediously explaining every aspect and implication. Are you a tedious first year that still needs EVERYTHING spelled out? That would explain a lot. |
Why do we care about that? |
The reason that you are analyzing someone's credit card bills in an alimony proceeding is because you are desperate to see Trump avoid jail time. Did his affair begin after the marriage was over? Yes. Does his STBX want more $? Possibly. Is his life ruined because he had the gumption to prosecute the former and future president for crimes? Absolutely. |
More pertinent question.... did their affair begin BEFORE she hired him. Evidence and testimony indicates it did. Did she profit from hiring him? He claims that Fani Willis paid him back - in CASH - for all the trips. Do you believe this? Thousands of dollars paid in cash? |
| Once she admitted to the affair (and that she was authorizing payments to her lover to work on the case) they both should have resigned as a conflict of interest and then faced disciplinary consequences. It is just a distraction from the substantive charges. |
Conflict of interest? Like Justice Thomas? I didn't see you complaining about that. Why is it only Dems have conflicts of interest but not republicans? |
Whether this is a violation of ethics rules or not (it is definitely bad optics but I don't know about an ethics violation), there is no conflict of interest. Think it through. Where is the conflict of interest? What could it be? |
Fani Willis was having an affair with someone who worked UNDER HER. Something she said she would never do when she was campaigning for the job. Huge conflict. |
So? You're alleging that his payment for work is problematic - but it's not. Payment for work is fine, even if you are spouses or affair partners or whatever. |
No. It may be unseemly but it's not a conflict. |
