| Is it just me, or have they not sent out the notice yet? I tried calling the school today but got sent directly to voicemail. Open house is on Friday. I thought we'd know by now. This is our first year in FCPS so I'm not sure if this is the norm. We're definitely in the system because we've gotten notices for other things before. Thanks for any input!! |

| In our school, they will post this Wednesday and Open house is on Thursday. Check your home district's website. |

| My McLean neighbors got their letters re K placement on Saturday. Depends on the school. |

Schools have no choice but to wait until the last minute because so many people don't register their children until the last minute. Then the school has to account for ratios in each class and sometimes has to add an extra teacher to a grade, which means they have to reassign all the kids. It sucks, but what can you do?
We find out our teachers after 5pm on Wednesday. Posted to school web site. Open house on Thursday at 11. |

It is possible that the letters went out in my daughter's school district - but we don't get the keys to our new house until Wednesday. We're hoping that the old owners are kind and bring us any school related mail we may have missed in the couple weeks since we completed the reg forms. Our school open house is Friday, but we only have to buy and sell property and move in and out of houses before then - you know, nothing big 
All I care about is that she makes it to school on Tuesday, honestly! |

Most schools in Fairfax County post the lists the day of the open house, and that is the first you will see of them, others post on their websites, and others send out letters.

| Freedom Hill sent the class assignments out COB today in U.S. Mail after the teachers/administrators finalized the class lists during the day. |
