He's a journalist, can't help himself. I agree though - weird. He is probably in shock and reaching out to connect. Hard to stand in the rain waiting while looking at the car that holds your son's body - easier to do something, even it is keeping facebook updated.

ok, this is twitter at its worst. there's a repeating icon picture of grinning, happy Mr. DeDakis Sr. tweeting things like, i kid not, "Wow, looks like they found [my son's] body slumped over the wheel!"

This is sickening. There's no such thing as privacy any more. And it seems like this guy doesn't even want it. He's twittering right now? My god.

That's not exactly what he posted, though. He posted:

The worst! The car has been found with a body slumped at the wheel. No positive ID until the coroner let's me see.

It's hard to read emotion into words, but I think "The Worst!" is very different from "Wow".
