When do you have time to read?

Do you have time to read for pleasure? If so, when do you fit that in, whether you are a SAHM or work outside the home.

I'd love to read more but have a problem trying to fit it in. I find that if I wait until bedtime I fall asleep after reading a few pages and it takes me a long time to finish a book. I'd ideally like to read two books a month, but I know that is hard.

My problem is that if I enjoy a book I will stay up until an ungodly hour and finish it.

I am a SAHM, but used to read a LOT more when I was working (I brought a book and read during break/lunchtimes..) Now, I will rarely draw a bath before bedtime, and read in the tub.. I did this last night, and ended up reading 60 pages or so.. It was amazing.

I take a bath nearly every night and read a chapter or two there. That's about all. I work FT.

I read at night after my kids are in bed. I tend to not go to bed until around 11 or so, so between 9-11, I have time. I work FT and have two kids, ages 4 and 6. It's only recently that I feel awake enough at night to want to read.

I read all day, every day for work (research librarian). At night I am usually too burnt out to read for pleasure. It sucks. I love my work but I do miss trashy novels. The closest I get to reading for pleasure now is Vogue on the Metro during commute.

Go to bed earlier. I read for about 20-30 minutes before going to bed -and I'm asleep by 11 the latest.

I read at work during lunch or whenever I am waiting around for something. I also read every night after the kids go to bed at 730. I get things done around the house and then read from about 830 or 9 til 1030ish. I don't watch tv. I read about 6-8 books a mOnths depending on length and how hard they are to read.

I guess I could be reading now, but I'm on DCUM.

I always always always read in bed. At least a half hour. There's no question of not doing it. But I do the same as PP, staying up far too late if the book is good. I also read while my daughter is in the bath-- I sit on the toilet while she plays. I'm lucky that she can stay in there for a half hour or more, happy as a splashy little clam.

Lunch at work. I'd read at night, but that's time with DH.

I'm a SAHM, but I've always read a lot, including when I was a working mom. My son is in bed at 7pm. I head off to bed by 8 or 8:30 and then read for an hour or two in bed. My husband joins me most nights too and either reads or internets in bed next to me. We don't watch that much TV.

SAHM with three kids. Read at night and sometimes at the dinner table -- barbaric, I know. Deserve imminent flames.
