It would be a lot more fun to make light of all this (and I’d be totally inclined to join you in that!) if it weren’t for the fact that these childish antics appear to have dragged down the reputation of a man who was just trying to make a poignant film about domestic violence. The guy hs literally spent most of his adult life championing the causes of feminism—and not only is BL seemingly trying to take over his own movie, but she was allegedly trying to push him out of future films in the franchise because she wanted control. And RR appears to have created an entire character to insert into the Deadpool movie (Nicepool) based on this guy that honestly looks like it served no purpose but to troll and humiliate him.
It’s really bad.

Justin is totally winning the PR war. Regardless of how this comes out in litigation, he has won and Blake has lost.

I suspect this is actually happening because RR feels threatened by JB. JB is younger, hotter, and has abs you could use to cut diamonds. RR is pushing 50 and does campy Marcel movies.

Wishful thinking. At 40 JB barely has a career to speak of.

JB is odd, not as hot as he thinks he is, and not even close to RR in his prime. RR is still way more attractive than JB, but RR is evidently a snake.

Which is why his career has not taken off. He’s way too old to be the next leading man. Plus nobody praises his acting. Way too much younger talent to compete with.

I think JB is sexy as hell. I has never heard of him before this movie. I think he's a very good actor for romantic lead. I would rather watch him any day that smarty pants, smug voice Ryan Reynolds. He seems obsessed with himself and his dopey brand of fake self deprecation and sarcasm. Maybe when he stops acting 17 I'll find him more interesting.

In before somebody says Blake doesn't care if she wasn't invited, because she's laying low and didn't want to go anyway, hmph! BS, she would love nothing more than to be in suite showing the world she's still in with Taylor.

This juvenile crap is so on-brand for Swift and Lively. They are so off-putting and tacky, separately and together.

Fake Lively and Cyclops Lyin Reynolds are done by their own dumb moves. Love to see it.

Which has nothing to do with a mediocre actor?

Ryan's "humor" screams catty gay man. Who does that appeal to, I assume gay men? I don't know any women attracted to a 50 year old man who acts like a catty gay man. Ryan's career over the last 10 or 15 years never felt organic to me. The catty sarcasm thing works when you're in your 20s, I guess. But he's been doing it in his 30s and 40s and about to turn 50.

I guess a lot of gay men like his movies. Is there something wrong with that?

Not at all. But don’t gaslight in this thread that this corny Canadian is some sex symbol to women. He’s def not.

Just watched this movie.
I too thought JB was hot!
I thought whoever dressed BL did an awful job. I get the character had a flowy boho florist aesthetic.
But the awkward layers and high waisted pants were distracting and not flattering.
Years ago I called BL my girl crush.
But I now find myself on team JB.

Reynolds has never been an especial movie star draw for women, agreed. Really strange argument some of I Don’t Even Like Lively fans to make.

I feel bad for Blake. She's never coming back from this.

I feel happy for the poster upthread here who was on set for Gossip Girl and had her lines reduced, for Justin Baldoni, for Emily Baldoni, for Jamey Heath and his wife, for the ADs fired on this film, for the less famous people at the production studio worried about their salaries, for the costume designer who watched the character attired increasingly to look like a rodeo clown on laundry day, and for every person disgusted with her attempts to monetize the antebellum aesthetic.

Blake’s never coming back from this.
