I’m a moderate Democrat who has been saying for months that the Democrats have gone far off the deep end. I really wanted Harris to win. I despise Trump. But the fact is that a lot of people voted against the Democrats and not for Trump. I don’t even think they disliked Harris so much as they disliked the general party and what it has become.

Totally agree. and i'm a journalist living in DC, who has only ever voted for democrats. The party has gone off the deep end -- the culture, the conniving way the DNC has orchestrated installing Kamala (and pushing out Bernie in 2020), the warmongering, the way that you must literally follow the party line in conversation or be shunned -- I hate it. I voted for Trump this year. i think he's crazy, but I could not bring myself to press the button for Kamala or the Democrats.

No, i'm a moderate democrat who was raised in PA to a family of mostly blue-collar republicans. I had about a million conversations with my DC democratic neighbors about my fears for this election and they all looked at me like I had 2 heads--they couldn't fathom that Harris might not win, that the democratic party might be too left for many. There are countless members of the party who are completely and utterly out of touch with anyone but their own elite bubble.
