Keep trying to deflect. Not going to work. DCU should be ashamed of themselves. Cutting a team after you recruited them and signed them is one thing but then making the decision to cut the team AND failing to have an adequate communication to the parents with the news leaking is just really bad. Many of the parents found out from other parents and from other people not even affiliated with the club but who somehow had the knowledge. Then had to verify with DCU and they were like crap, we need to say something. It is how the organization operates. In a vacuum with little or no understanding, comprehension or care about the impact of their decision making on other people and their lives. Just what they want. It's just so bad over there. Now, there is one less year in the player pathway at DCU which already has serious problems developing players. Which means more time spent in the local clubs that have way less incentive to develop your son because they just want your money. DCU cares about one thing, saving money. That is all. This is why it will never be a top notch MLS academy. Something that has been proven over and over again on this thread.

This is the organization that you want nurturing your son for 4 of his most impactful years as a young man? No chance. There are bigger things than football that DCU just doesn't get, care about or really understand because it is an immature organization with weak leaders. This botched roll out of the U14s news is just one example. There are countless others. If you have to go to DCU because you don't have options, so be it. It is what it is. But if you do have options, please explore them and seek what is the optimal path for your son and his development as a player and as a young man, not the path of least resistance. All MLS academies are NOT the same. Anyone telling you this doesn't know what they are talking about. Some are FAR better than others and DCU just happens to be one of the worst.

I feel like you are just talking to yourself. Is there anything official out there that DCU is losing u14s? Not interested in the rest.

Right, DCU is going to put out something publicly that says we are weak. Good call. 👎
