| Getting back into shape after having a baby and curious to know if skinny jeans are still or if they're totally out? |
| I really hope so. They rival capris IMO. Very few people look good in them. |
|
Nope, sorry. They will probably be in for a while.
PP, if you get the right pair, they can be universally flattering. |
I agree (sadly). Bootcut or wide leg do a lot more for more women (especially with heels). But I also agree that if you invest in a good pair (read: not target), they will look good on you, regardless of how much you hate your thighs... |
| Not for me. I'm slim, and I can't afford to buy new ones! |
+1. They look right on women with loooong, toothpick legs that are the same width at the thigh as the calf. That's about it. |
| Any bigger pear shaped gals out there with a skinny jeans recommendation? Any brands that you find particularly flattering? It is hard becasue I like being current, and skinny jeans are really tricky to pull off, but I really feel so out of style in bootcut jeans. I know I should not care, but when I am the only girl in the room NOT in skinny jeans, it feels weird. |
| Wow where do you go where you're the only person not wearing skinny jeans? None of my friends wear them. Maybe it's an age thing - I'm 33. Are you significantly younger? |
| I'm in my late 20s. Maybe most of the people I spend time with are trendier? I don't know though, they mostly wear classic clothing (trendiest are the non-hipster j crew offerings), but skinny pants abound. |
| I'm in my late 30s, and any of my friends skinny enough to wear them does. I agree they are not for everyone. But I think they're still in style and look great on thin women. |
These words should not appear together in the same sentence. dear God. "Hi! Any bikini recommendations for us gals who have a protruding, flabby gut with lots of loose skin? " |
Bless your heart. I bet you win a lot of people over with your manners. |

I've been in NY for a nearly a month. Lots and lots of long, lean, but boot-leg jeans. The bottoms even look wider than boot legs. NO ONE is wearing flats with them - high, high skin-toned wedges and pumps. Everyone looks fabulous in them. I'm heading to Barney's tomorrow for a pair!
I would say that skinny jeans will be okay in the fall in DC, but not by next spring. I am giving mine away to charity. |
| Can someone please post of picture of someone they think skinny jeans looks good on? And not of a starving runway model - maybe a non-runway model? I always think they look terrible and too short on people. |
