Is it better or worse that DC picked up a cookie at Potbelly and chomped on it, wrapper and all? (~6 months old.) I bought the cookie, wishing he had picked my favorite type instead.

Here's the catch. Starbucks, and Potbelly, are in the business of selling food and beverages. If they don't have cookies at the register for the impulse purchases I suspect their sales of those items go down. The percentage of customers who are toddlers, or even parents with toddlers that they can't control, is probably pretty small. So I suspect it doesn't make sense for them to reorganize their store to suit a few indulgent parents.
