Why would they have to ‘shift’ towards family life? All their kids are teens. If anything more independent than ever. This is a fine time to do whatever they want although both are practically retired in their respective fields anyway.

I think they have a shot if she downshifts and makes the relationship the priority. Like, if she's still doing albums or major projects it's not going to work.

I realize that's sexist, but he seems very needy and she seems drawn to men that are. Ben is probably a little better than Marc Anthony or A-Rod, but still.

I don’t think he can really live a low key life at all. When he gets bored or feels down on himself, he crashes. I hope he breaks that cycle because addiction and self affliction are horrible demons. Jlo doesn’t seem like the type who will take aging out of the limelight gracefully, albeit in a more self absorbed way. It would be impressive if they could make it work. What would he considered a success? Brangelina was together for over a decade before they broke up- while they didn’t last forever they certainly outlasted my expectations of what seemed like a lust fueled relationship. Ben and Jlo may not last forever but I’m not sure that’s exactly the benchmark of success in Hollywood.

Eh, this is nothing new for her kids. They've seen it all. I think the VF pic of Arod with his hand on her mostly-bare ass was worse. I feel for his kids though. They seem much more sheltered, but at least they have refuge with their classy mom. Will be interesting to see if the two Affleck girls can blend into the latest family iteration. This must be hard for them.
