Wow, good thing your kids won’t grow up racist... |
Np. What the actual F? You don’t even make any sense. No, pods are not racist. They are privileged. |
I think his kids will be pretty screwed up, TBH. |
Privilege that is part of greater racist system. The truth, believe it or not. Struck a nerve, eh? |
Everything is privilege these days. My kids are privileged. My husband and I worked for what we have. And before you start, my grandparents were black people from the South and not the Jack and Jill, partially descended from rich white people set. I was "privileged" to have two parents who were intelligent and took decent care of us. Not squandering my opportunities and destroying my foundation was a choice. One of the great things about being black in the age of leftist mania is I never even have to consider feeling guilty for doing right by my children. |
As a black parent, I agree with you. It’s a matter of privilege. You have to be able to WFH or SAH to supplemental homeschooling that is required. Not all families have that option. |
My parents both worked and managed supplemental homeschooling. Staying home full time of course is another story. |
| do what you want and understand that some people might call you racist. you have the right to do what you want, and they have the right to think and call you racist. They don't get to stop you from forming a pod, but you don't get some free pass from everyone, either. |
| Exactly. Everything is racist these days so live your life. |
Spoken like someone who has plenty of experience being called racist. |
Black people don't get called racist much. I only get called racist online because taking care of one's own children is considered white behavior. |
| Racism, racism, blah, blah, blah. Who cares anymore? Have a pod if you want. |
I was being sarcastic
|
Could be disastrous for kids with anxiety or depression, who, by feeling excluded from a pod for whatever reason, refuse to participate in DL because it is too distressing. |
From The Lane DC: It takes a village As a community, we must care for each child as our own. Donate to our GoFundMe to ensure every kid who needs a spot in a pod can have one. Has been up for weeks.
