You literally do not understand the nation's conscience when you think it's totally cool to disenfranchise millions of voters by attempting to impeach because of a narrative you refuse to show the public.

You are seeking to depose a duly elected President of the United States of America behind closed doors. What did you think was going to happen?

Tyrants believe this is all ok.

No. He was not duly elected by US citizens, he was duly elected by Russia.

Liberal here. This really is a dumbt hing to keep repeating. He is President because Americans voted for him. Specifically a narrow majority of them in certain key states. We need to confront this internally if we want to heal this cancer.

Russia didn't install him, they exploited sickness already percolating in our country. That doesn't make Russia innocent or the good guy but it is ridiculous to act like Russia is the only reason we are in this mess. They are not.

No vote is required. Nancy already announced the beginning of impeachment inquiry om 9/24: https://www.c-span.org/video/?464684-1/speaker-pelosi-announces-formal-impeachment-inquiry-president-trump

The is no law and nothing in the Constitution that requires a vote. We are in the midst of the inquiry.

But you know if the US Supreme Court hears an appeal by Trumpkins regarding the impeachment process, the Republican majority in the Court will find something to the effect that the U.S. Constitution guarantees everyone at least some basic level of due process and a fair hearing, or some bullshit like that.

Impeachment is not part of the judicial process. The SC has no authority.

Impeachment is separately outlined in Article 3 of the Constitution. The Supreme Court has exactly zero jurisdiction over impeachment, aside from Roberts presiding over the trial in the Senate.

For the SC to make any decision regarding impeachment would be equivalent to the justices making up a new Article of the Constitution out of thin air. The Constitution is crystal clear on this.

Jordan and Meadows and Lesko are on committees that should have allowed them entrance. Where did you get this?

Jordan and Meadows are on the Oversight Committee and Lesko is on the Judiciary. I'm not looking up all the others. But this cannot be an accurate list since some of those people were allowed in.

Gaetz is on Judiciary, too, but Judiciary is not one of the committees involved in the depositions - it’s Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and Oversight. As posted upthread, some of these guys participated in the stunt for their audience of one even though they DO have access to the process, further proving that this is a dumb stunt.

DP:
My (uneducated) guess is that they were in the SCIF, as appropriate, and then joined in with the law breakers in the chaos. They knew the SCIF would be raided and said nothing to their fellow Committee members.

Anyone know if they will scan the room for electronics after this breach? They could have knowingly or unknowingly planted a device.

And Gaetz provided this handy list on his website:

A few hours were spent sweeping the room for devices after they left.

A formal inquiry does indeed require a vote.

The Constitution does not require that.

This is a formal inquiry. We'll get public hearings soon, and then we'll hear all the horrible details.
