Sadly, I don't think he'll go to prison. We've never been a country that does that. His loss will be seen as punishment enough. |
New York’s going to be a state that does that. It’s almost unimaginable how much state tax money Trump, his family, and his company have dodged. |

Florida won't voluntarily extradite to NY. This would go to Federal Courts. Or Trump will flee the country, and would go to the Feds for that reason. |
Trump has always been the one to break the norms. I do think he is going to prison. |
More often than not, tax cheats get away with heavy fines in lieu of prison sentences. Trump, like many very wealthy people, will continue to throw monkey wrenches into the judicial system with appeal after appeal and other rope-a-dope tactics until revenue agencies finally become open to a low-punitive settlement.

I'll take him leaving the country. Please don't come back, ever. I'm sure Russia would love to have him. |
The best part will be seeing him do the walk of shame without the benefit of his daily hair and makeup (sorta like that Jim Bakker, that televangelist when he got locked up). |

How long can he appeal? It's like ground hog day. |
What the heck is in those returns?! What could it possibly be that is so bad? |
He’s broke, not a billionaire. He fails at everything. |
He committed bank fraud by supplying financial information to Deutche Bank that are different from his tax returns. His tax returns likely also show debt greater than asset value and loans from sources that, to put it bluntly, may not be legal. |
Given the recent ruling, why doesn’t Vance send in his investigators and law enforcement to raid the offices and physically take the tax documents? |
Let em sweat. |
