I hope you’re also highlighting the challenges with reality of the DCUM chorus that’s spent the last few years saying Trump is going away (whatever the cause) any day now. |
All three are equally likely at this point. |
I would love to see him impeached, but I know the Senate won't convict, so there's no point and could actually mobilize his base.
He'll live forever, because he's probably mostly preservatives as it is. At this point I don't think he'll resign, because he's too close to the end of his term. BUT I would put a small amount of money on the odds of him deciding he isn't running for reelection after all -- if the polls start to show him losing majorly. He can't stand to lose, and he could easily spin quitting as "I did what I came to do." |
Apparently his campaign manager expects a Trump legacy stretching decades?!!? Get out the vote people!! |
His base is not nearly enough to win.
Impeachment will not help him. |
Trump's adult children are morons. U of P and Georgetown wrongly thought they would get generous donations. Trump himself cannot walk more than 50 feet. The latest golfing video shows him waiver on his feet when he bends down to pick up a ball. Many people with dementia become nasty and vindictive before they are ultimately struck down by the illness. I'd say he's close to that. It's well known he eats terribly and there are no obese 80 year olds. He has at most, eight years to live. |
It's called the Supreme Court ![]() |

Me too! Reelection here we come! ![]() |
maybe all 3 |
I think he will continue to be more erratic and unravel mentally, attempting to resolve in his mind his extreme desire for applause and withdrawal of people's loyalty. His narcissism will lead him to more rage-filled, destructive decisions where there is enough political will to impeach for the safety of the country. Is this instance it? I don't know, but I do believe there is more to come..
The core schism between the two political parties will only worsen, and I don't know how the damage done can be repaired. |
No, actually, they can only impeach if the two parties (minus the lunatic fringe) come together in a supermajority. The impeachment itself will be the thing that unites the country (except for those who will never want to agree with anyone else, and you were never going to get them at the table anyway). |
He can be impeached without the other party. Impeachment is done in the House, which Dems are in control of.
It's the Senate that has to hold the trial based on the Articles of Impeachment sent to them by the House. And that is where the horrible divide becomes way too clear. Effing Republicans have decided to go ahead off a cliff for this asshole. |
Resignation by the end of the year. |
How about all three at the same time!
Fingers crossed! |
