BS. Go look at College Confidential. I watched the Chinese, Indian and Japanese students post their stats when they didn't get in or were waitlisted. UVA receives applications from students in 150 countries and accepts students from at least 105 countries each year. The competition is fierce. |
The world isn't very impressed by the plantation style campus or white dreams of "gone with the wind" they are looking for Nobel graduates, creators and innovators among alumni and UVA has like zero because it doesn't specialize in the difficult majors. |
Don't even try. . . . we all know you can find a ranking for whatever you want. UVA now vies with UCLA and Berkeley for international students. |
| I have never, ever heard of anyone selecting a university based on the number of Nobels it had. Everyone knows the Nobels are inherently political. |
Checking the best known world university rankings isn't trying very hard. It's the worlds opinion of the college and easily found. |
When were you rejected by UVA? |
| Miami is a party school. UVA is a real contender for the internationals. https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/usc-marshall-vs-umich-lsa-vs-uva-international-student. Go read college confidential |
| These arguments are so pointless. It literally doesn't matter whether your kid's school is #20 or #500 in terms of world rankings. Go with what's best for them and your family, not based off what College Confidential or bitter DCUM posters say. |
Butthurt or something? I'm just showing the facts. By the way Ucla is 22 percent foreign enrollment and UVA is 5 percent. |
| I would do Miami. |
| Miami is a party school. He won't get into a good graduate program. http://brobible.com/college/article/top-50-party-schools-ranking/ |
| Miami hands down. |
UVA is on that list too, dummy. |
Ha! The stupidity of UVA boosters knows no bounds. |
