Agree. This is one of the key points that libs don't get. To the libs, the election was a popularity contest, as in who do you think is less personally horrible? To conservatives, it was about issues - and top on the list was illegal immigration. The fact that Hillary was on record saying she admired these people who broke U.S. law just made it even worse. |
![]() You're cute. You actually take HRC's words as gospel, re: her proclaiming she lost because "men told their wives to vote for Trump" (among many other reasons she uses to explain her loss. Pretty sure you read the recent thread discussing just that, and all of the fantastic responses from conservative women, debunking that idiotic "theory." If you didn't read it, you should. Educate yourself. You liberals are the biggest sexists of all. Who else would assume women can't think for themselves? And finally - equating Trump to Hitler? Talk about deplorable. Go back to high school and learn some basic history. |
DP here. Either take your meds or take a nap. Or both. You have issues. |
It has everything to do with moral superiority, or rather, perceived moral superiority. Because sane, rational people know that liberals aren't any more moral than conservatives. They just enjoy the virtue signaling, as PP said. ![]() |
Have you been living under a rock? The term has been around since 2009. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtue_signaling Some of my favorites: virtue signaling Saying you love or hate something to show off what a virtuous person you are, instead of actually trying to fix the problem. Jane: "Wow! I hate Fox News! They're so evil and they hate women!" John: "Why don't you actually do something instead of just virtue signaling about it?" Jane: "OMG that would be WAAAAAAY too much work" *goes back to shitposting on twitter* Virtue Signaling To take a conspicuous but essentially useless action ostensibly to support a good cause but actually to show off how much more moral you are than everybody else. Fred: I see George has changed his profile picture to show his support for refugees. Barbara: Has he donated money or time? Is he giving English lessons? Is he making a room available? Fred: No, no, he's just virtue signaling. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=virtue%20signalling |

DP. You mean, because YOU think she was the better option, everyone else has to think so too? You do know that's not how this whole voting thing works, right? |
EXACTLY. It's always been about the issues for me, and I obviously for many others. I don't personally care for Trump, especially his tweeting, but I'm glad someone's in office who is trying to fix issues such as illegal immigration. I give him credit for that. |
Hillary wasn't taking about all women, she was talking about white women. Remember black women overwhelmingly voted to protect themselves. White women voted according to their husbands' interests. Who else better to call them out than former white woman in chief who spent years working and supporting and voting according to her husbands interests? Don't try to make your pathology everyone else's problem. Own it. Also Trump is very reminiscent of Hitler's early days and rise to power. And Trumpkins represent the racist majority who voted him into power. History will look unfavorably upon you. Your children's children will be ashamed of your actions. |
So what do you call telling everyone that you're working so hard waiting for the government to give you back those jobs the lazy immigrants took from you? Hypocrisy signaling? Just plain posturing? There has to be a word for that too. |
There IS no racist majority, so that is not why he won. You have been told a thousand times of the issues that drove Trump voters, and yet, due to your perceived sense of superiority, simply cannot process that people simply disagreed with the policies you want or found Hillary more personally reprehensible than Trump. And your holier-than-thou warnings about our children's children being ashamed of us, as you admonish us from your throne, is just getting annoying. |
....oh, and I do see some parallels with Hitler, but it's coming from the liberals who have convinced themselves that an entire segment of the population - 60 million - are worthy of contempt, deserving of being falsely accused, and generally looked upon as "less than" they are. I am more scared of people like you than I am the .001% of KKK members. |
No, black women voted for Hillary because blacks vote for the Democrat well over 90% of the time. |
Yes and we do that to protect ourselves. the Republican Party does not serve our interests AT ALL so they don't receive our votes. Voting against your interest is reserved for poor whites... and white women in general apparently. |
That's why Dem politicians rarely do anything to actually help the African American community. Because they know they have the AA vote in the bag regardless. They can take it for granted. |
