No, they don't. "Arrow" has a short a sound and "Error" has a short e sound. Don't you people have ears? You would't say "Errow," would you? At least I hope not. |
From a Beauvoir teacher: Bow (like hair bow) var |
Also native Chicagoan. I pronounce it Chai town, as do all my Chicago friends. |
I've always pronounced it Ar-ron. Not quite "are" but not quite "air" either. To me, Aaron rhymes with Sharon. |
I say AYR-inn for both. Then again I am from Wisconsin where we say bayg and flayg, not behhhg and flehhhg ![]() |
How do you pronounce zeppoli (Italian doughnuts) |
Also a Sarah (American but grew up in England). SaraH is pronounced Sare-ah whereas Sara is pronounced Sah-rah. Cara and Tara also rhyme with Sah-rah to me. |
I can hear the difference, chill out. I also speak two foreign languages and have a good ear for those! I'm just telling you that many regions pronounce them the same. I wouldn't say Errow and I wouldn't say Error- I say "airror". It is what it is. I love so much of where I'm from, I'm not going to change for you. I also love different regional accents. It's what makes us all special. |
Aaron is obviously pronounced Ay-ay-ron.
