What bathroom renos done today will stand the style test of time? How about mine?

p.s. In the interest of disclosure, we have the large travertine tiles and I still love them. I tend to like bathroom decor that gives a coastal or water's edge air. That light brown or tan together with some crisp white and splashes of blue elements feels serene to me every morning. Our bedroom is also a similar color scheme. It's all very crisp but restful without being all kitschy with seashell motifs everywhere.

Not that big and not that dark. 12x12 and more of a creamier tan. I could probably look them up but have never figured out how to post an image.

I think it's really interesting to see the variations in what people like and think is timeless. If you're into something different than what you've seen here so far you should post it. I'm sure there will be others who agree (and who disagree). Threads like these help me refine my ideas about what I would and wouldn't want in a bathroom remodel and, as much as I hate to spend the money, we're probably going to have to do ours sooner rather than later.
