When does the madness stop?

I'm a teacher and I've thought about running for the board. We have teachers who are fairly active in the PTA, but I don't know of any who have ever been on the board.

Our PTA would love to have a teacher on the board.

Try it with "Outlandish FCPS Salaries"

Of course, if you know to search that title.

I still don't see any TEACHERS on that list making 6 figures.

Which teachers are making 100k+?

And the problem is? We think nothing of athletes and entertainers making huge amounts of money, but begrudge teachers earning high salaries. Crazy!

No problem with me.
I just want the person who is saying teachers make 6 figures to show me the evidence. He/she mentioned the Fairfax Underground thread and the disappeared (probably when he realized he was wrong).

Teachers work a 194 day contract. They do not make six figures --unless you figure it based on the number of days they work.

I just looked and that is right. Next year, top step, longevity 3 with a Ph.D. on the 194 teacher scale is 98,920. Now days it takes a minor miracle to get there as you have to be at each longevity step for two years before moving up and our step increases have been frozen four out of the last five years. I know, I've spent five years at Longevity 1 and would still be there next year, if I wasn't retiring.
